This year, the Belleville Wix Academy PTA has been hard at work bringing our school community together through laughter, creativity, and incredible generosity. We are thrilled to share that together we have raised a staggering £12,468.78 so far! 💰✨
We believe that good state schools rely on the money raised by their PTAs to truly stand out, and your support is making that a reality for our children. 💙
Our Fundraising Journey So Far 🎈
From festive fairs to community clinics, every event has helped build a stronger school. Here is a look at what we have achieved together:
- Winter Fair: A magical community day that raised £3,500. 🎡
- School Discos (with APL): The children danced the night away and raised £2,600! 🕺🎶
- Christmas Tree Sales: Bringing the holiday spirit home while raising £1,952.39. 🌲
- Cheese, Wine, Quiz & DJ Night (with APL): A fantastic social highlight for parents that raised £1,697.92. 🧀🍷
- Halloween Dress-Up & Bake Sale: A spooky start to the year, bringing in £866.70. 🎃🧁
- Second-Hand Uniform Sales: We have raised a total of £861.38 across multiple sales throughout the year! ♻️👔
- Valentine’s Day Dress-Up & Bake Sale: Spreading the love and raising £570.50. ❤️🍰
- Christmas Cards: Personalized festive cheer that added £236 to our total. ✉️
- Easter Bonnet Parade: A wonderful celebration of creativity where the PTA organized the parade and provided gifts for the winners! 🐣👒
- Earth Week (with APL): A brilliant community event featuring our bike clinic, bake sale, and second-hand uniform stall. 🌍🚲🧁
Making a Tangible Difference 📚
The impact of your generosity goes far beyond the numbers:
- Book Wishlist Initiative: We have successfully provided 400 brand-new books to inspire a love of reading in every year group. 📖
- YOTO Audio Players: We are excited to announce that we are purchasing YOTO Audio players for EY and KS1 to support storytelling and independent listening! 🎧📚
- Charity Partners: Our community came together for Comic Relief, raising £183.89 for an important cause. 🔴
- Year 6 Efforts: We have assisted Year 6 parents and children to fundraise for their end-of-year trip, ensuring a memorable celebration for our leavers. 🚌🎓Additionally, the PTA is proud to finance the Year 6 Leavers Hoodies to give our students a special memento! 🚌🎓
Looking Ahead: Save the Dates! 📅
The fun doesn’t stop here! We have some exciting plans for the remainder of the year:
- May Wine Tasting: We are organising a sophisticated wine tasting event at the school this May. 🍷
- End of Year Art Exhibition: Join us for a showcase of our students’ incredible creative talents. 🎨
- Improving Our School Grounds: We are continuing our new fund dedicated to making major improvements to the outside of the school to create even better spaces for our children to play and learn. 🌳
