DESCRIPTION:This year\, Children in Need is on Friday\, 15th November – and we invite all children to wear yellow\, spotty\, or bright-coloured clothes on the day. \nWe kindly ask pupils to bring in a donation to support the amazing work this charity does throughout the year. All funds collected on Friday will be donated to Children in Need. \nYou can donate cash or pay by card at both entrance gates on Friday morning during drop-off. \nThank you so much for your support and generosity!

SUMMARY:BWA PTA - Toy Donation to Support Local Charities
DESCRIPTION:On Friday 29th November\, together with APL Ecole de Wix\, we will be supporting HomeStart Wandsworth\, Young People Matter and Streatham Youth & Community Trust \nwith a COLLECTION OF NEW TOYS & GAMES\, for children aged 0 to 16 years old\, taking place at school at drop off. \nThe festive period is difficult for many\, with more and more families struggling to make ends meet. This is why we are very happy to partner with 3 fantastic local charities again this year. \nThese organisations are working all year round to help and support disadvantaged families. The new toys and games will all be distributed to children at Christmas parties hosted by the charities in December. \nFor many of these children\, it will be the only present they get this year. We would be most grateful if you wanted to help and bring a smile to their faces! \nTo ensure every child receives a present\, we would like to ask each year group to buy for a specific age range: \n\nNursery & Reception: 0 to 4 years old\nYear 1 & Year 2: 5 to 7 years old\nYear 3\, Year 4 & Year 5: 8 to 11 years old\nYear 6: 11 to 16 years old\n\n\n\nFor some inspiration\, here is a wish list shared by the charities: \n\nFor younger ones: baby sensory toys\, soft toys\, games\, arts & crafts\, puzzles\, books\, cars\, building blocks\, action figures\, …\nFor older ones (10+): books\, board games\, sports equipment (balls\, rackets\, etc.)\, selection boxes\, bath sets\, re-usable water bottles\, …\n\nAll gifts must be NEW and unwrapped (but you can add a bow if you’d like to). \nPlease note that for health & safety reasons\, the charities cannot accept clothes or second-hand/used items. \nIn return for their donations\, children are invited to wear their favourite Christmas jumper or festive outfit at school that day. \nMany thanks for your kind and generous support! \n\n\n  \n\n\nOptional extra information for Nursery & Reception parents and carers \nHomeStart Wandsworth\, who is supporting 0 to 4 years old children\, have just done a new partnership with two local toy shops – Chalkboard and QT Toys – on Northcote Road.  \nBoth shops have a wishlist from the charity for that age group. Should you wish to support a local business as well\, simply ask for the wishlist and quote HomeStart Wandsworth when purchasing your gift.
